I've lost that piece of guitar string
My model is an excellent
Any advice?

Go to your local guitar repair house and ask them for a junk Kluson replica tuner, put it in a vice, and heat the stem with a blow torch and carefully pull the tip off, then re-mount it on the original tuner.
