The pickups, rocker switches and fretboard markers say "Teisco" to me. THIS says it's a Teisco VG-6.

i thought it was something along those lines. kept seeing it in this movie over the years and wondered exactly what it was.

The hardware is certainly indicative of it being a Teisco. I've also seen those branded Norma, a brand used by a distributor called Strum 'N' Drum.

Definitely Teisco made. Silvertone, Norma and Kent also had guitars looking like this but they were made by Teisco for these companies.
