I have a 64 Mustang, which I bought in October of 1964. The first nice amp that I owned was the Silvertone twin twelve model. I kept that until I purchased a Dual Showman (around 1970). I gave the Silvertone to a friend who then relocated to who-knows-where. I wish I had that amp back. There were apparently several versions of the Cyclone. The one that I got for my son has a Mustang body and three Jaguar pick-ups with the typical Jaguar switch (three slide switches on the switch plate on the lower bout). It has what look like a Strat hard-tail bridge. I only saw that version in one of Fender's catalogs and then it was gone.

His reply was he liked other amps and guitars, but Leo Fender had a system, he designed the 2 around each other. Makes sense to me, so I tried it myself. Any Silvertone, Dano, etc sounds great through their own amps. They really did design the circuits to sound good with their pickups, my Harmony Rocket sounds best thru my Silvertone 1484.

I bet that ResOGlas sounds great thru your 1484-5, it works for Jack White!

I found this to be true when I got my Mosrite BG500 Amp. Pretty dead with a Strat, Tele or Gibson, comes to life with my 1965 Mosrite Ventures. Best sounding SS Amp I've ever played through. ;)

I love Res-O-Glas! Kinda like a cross between a Danelectro and a Chevy Corvette.

Yeah,there where a few version of the "cyclone",mine is a mustang body,but about a 1/4inch thicker,with the same tremolo system as a vintage strat and a jazzmaster neck and scale,and a toogle swicth(3 position,like a mark-I) for p'ups selection...great guitar,but the stock "Atomic humbucker" is kinda lame.
Thanks
Frank :)

Didn't they make a reverse body Cyclone in silver sparkle? I thought those were cool.

Squier Supersonic

yeah these were really cool guitars from the vista series. these were some of the highest quality squiers I've ever seen. they were as good as japanese fenders. fender should have made these into there regular product line.

That's because they were Japanese Fenders.
