I love Les Pauls. I don't know anything about this model.
It looks unique with the humbucker, and the P-90.
Also I can't help but noticing the absence of the truss rod cover. I have a vague memory of an LP that was made without the cover, but I can't remember why. Is this the one I read about?
Also, what's BFG? Is that a Celebrities initials?

Well, Kerry, don't feel like the Lone Ranger; I never heard of these, either, I spent some time looking them up on the Web last night, and they are still what I would consider an expensive guitar.
Most unusual and attractive, though.
Speaking of unusual Gibsons, I was watching a great show on PBS yesterday afternoon, "Chet Atkins, Certified Guitar Player," filmed sometime in the late 1980s. Lots of super musicians.
I saw Chet playing a Gibson Victory Artist guitar for one song and it was quite a strange-looking instrument. It appeared to be an early '80s Gibson take on a Strat.
Took me forever to find out on the Net what that guitar was. Since it evidently is made of solid maple, it probably weighs a ton. Looks great, though maybe not as great as that BFG Les Paul.

It came with a truss rod cover in a bag in the case. It wasn't on the guitar when I took it out of the case. All of them come like this as far as I know. The holes for the screws are drilled but it's up to you if you wanna use it. Looks kinda Mad Max'ish without it lol. Also the pickup selector is where the 2nd tone knob would be. So it's 2 volume, 1 tone, and the pup selector. The switch where the pup selector on a LP would be is a killswitch. They come like this as well. Gibson doesn't make the regular version like mine anymore. It came in black like mine, gold top, red, inkburst (which was a blue burst) and silverburst. Now there are a few models still in production. The Gary Moore BFG which is this one:

And the Zakk Wylde BFG:
I got lucky though, because Gibson discontinued the standard colors like mine when I went to purchase it, they sold it to me at a closeout price... Much better than even buying it used lol The other thing is, Gibson did release the studio line with this pickup/electronic configuration for a limited run as well, so there are some gloss black ones out there from the limited run but it's just a basic Studio otherwise. I can't stand the necks on those.
