Apparently Neil Young has used one of these to amplify the output of his Deluxe.

I saw one on a craigslist posting in the middle of Ohio. Too big to ship, so no, I didn't get it.

I love those Baldwin amps, they have the wildest colored push button sliders for tone settings, like one of those 60's cars with push button transmissions....

Baldwin amps from that time period were interesting to say the least. The Exterminator was their top of the line amp to compete with the Vox Beatle amp. It was huge for it's time, but not very popular. Probably too expensive for what you got.

I own a C-1, the Willie Nelson model with the push buttons and 2-12s. A great sounding amp for some styles. Similar output stage to a Thomas Organ Vox amp. Reverb is a little boingy. They seem to suffer from the same problem as the TO Voxes, they need complete cap jobs to make them sound decent.

The ad lists the Exterminator as "250 watts of peak music power", which for Baldwin really means maybe 90-100 watts RMS.

Just a follow up, I picked up a C.d. of this band Negative Space the guitarist played the Exterminator amp SG and some fuzz pedal (sounds like a Fuzzface to me). Total raw fuzzed out early 70's basement power trio stuff. The fuzz tone is is insane! brain frying highs and great low end push. The recording is pretty lo-fi but has been re-mastered. Not for everybody, I think it might kill plants if played at high volume! but it's fun to hear the "Ultimate Monster" in some sort of fuzzy feeding frenzy. Image

Wow! And I thought that my Fender Quad Reverb (100 W, 4 x 12") was big!

[edit: ...mind you, only ONE handle!....a second one will cause overweight! (lumbago already comes free with the amp)] :D :D :D
