Can't go wrong with the Hot Rod Deluxe in my opinion...

I had a Hot Rod Deluxe and my Mosrite Celebrity sounded AWESOME through that!

Reissue '65 FENDER DELUXE REVERB-AMP -'only' 22 watts, one 12" speaker but boy, what a lovely clean sound and luscious reverb. Want some distortion?...there are pedals galore.

I went and bought a Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb amp; 44 watts, two 10" speakers and had a hard time choosing between the two but I find I'm still lusting for the '65 DeLuxe reissue with a better performing reverb (due to the circuit, not the reverb tank) ;)

Another vote for the Hot Rod Deluxe. I changed the tubes in mine to reduce the power from 40w to 30w and installed a kit to gain better control of the volume at the low end of the spectrum. It's easy to get clean, mildly distorted or heavily distorted sound without blowing out your eardrums. The spring reverb is quite nice, too.

There's a review in this months GP magazine of the Fender 22. I haven't read it but you may want to have a look.

I'm really happy with my peavy delta blues. Nice clean sound and a really nice dirty channel. The reverb is not as good as my Fender blues junior, and I don't find a use for the tremolo-effect. It has an effect loop too. Just try it when you have the opportunity.

Not to sidetrack, but Veenture, there's a series of mods (google "Moyers Mods") to the Custom Vibrolux Reverb (CVR) to make it more like a Vibroverb (VV), one of which cures the lackluster reverb:

The CVR has a 500pf-coupling cap from the 12AX7 of the Reverb return to the pot. The VV uses a .0033uf.

The Reverb on the CVR is much more filtered out then the VV due to the coupling cap in the recovery stage. C16 on the VV is a .0033uf. On the CVR it is 500pf. This is a significant difference. I highly recommend replacing C16 on the CVR with a .0033uf Silver Mica cap. This makes the Reverb come alive on the otherwise Reverb challenged CVR.
