Nokie's HitchHiker - latest arrival

As I promised, the link below shows the latest, (and likely the last for some time) addition to my collection...a brand new quilt-maple HitchHiker. It plays like buttered Teflon, and sounds wonderful! It would appear that Nokie has refined the electronics a little since the prototype (the red model in earlier photos) was built, since all pickup selection positions have better matched output levels, and more refined tones. The unfinished neck is also a very nice addition, adding to the playability of the guitar on those hot Yuma nights!

Thanks Nokie...you told me that if I waited, you'd get me a nice one, I couldn't have imagined how nice it would be!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.......
That is definitely NOT a guitar.
That's 'Exotic Furniture' with 6 strings.

What's the story with the pickups? Humbuckers with one blade and one set of polepieces? Looks very cool.

Good eye. They are indeed unique. Those are Nokie's own style of pickup, made by Seymour Duncan...very broad spectrum of sounds, for just about any style of music with lots of growl when you want it, or jazz smooth at the other end of the spectrum. The switching allows every possible combination of each half of both pickups. I am still learning how all the voices this guitar has can be used!
