Thanks Veenture! I need to familiarize myself with the 70's albums obviously!

I must say that that particular album is not one of their greatest moments. I have that on a See-For-Miles cd that also has The Ventures/Batman album...which is one heck of an album, whereas TV Themes is not. For me, the era before Gerry McGee is the most interesting Ventures timeline.

One more vote for "In Space, Vol. 2" from here also. I just would have loved that. More:

The Ventures Play Rautalanka (hey, what can I say, I'm from Finland)
The Ventures Halloween Album (horror movie themes)
The Ventures Visit The Girls (many of the girls bands of 60's had very good songs with strong melodies)
The Uncolorful Ventures (aka The Ventures Play Elevator Music)
Knock Yourself Out! (Backing tracks box)
This concludes my report from outer space. Now, back to studio!

That's one of my favorites from that album! More albums I wished they made:

NATO 25th Anniversary Album (best of military music... or is there good military music around? Maybe not. Just mentioned this because it would go with the NASA album)
Fist With The Ventures (Kung Fu movie themes)
Hey Ho - Let's Go! (I too would have liked to see a Ramones cover album)
This concludes my report from outer space. Now, back to studio!

OK, here's what I found on wonderful ol' youtube...never knew these (studio)recordings existed at all! (Moody River and The Pied Piper, 1974)

Perhaps we may find them on a yet to be issued CD "The Ventures - In The Vaults vol.5"... :?

I didn't know about those either. One more:

The Joint Ventures (follow-up to Super Psychedelics)
This concludes my report from outer space. Now, back to studio!
