'Bout a year ago, purchased box set, "The Beatles, The Original Studio Recordings, 217 Songs Eemastered."
All 13 original studio albums (British titles and layouts), and 2 CD collection of non-album singles, total 14 CD sleeves with booklets, 16 CDs.
'Made the time ('basically takes almost a week) to listen to the whole box, in chronological (except the last 2 disks) order. Really listening, not being interrupted, thinking along with the songs.
And am continually (re-)AMAZED at those four guys' abilities, songwriting, harmonies, imagination growth, experimentation, breadth, depth, travels, accomplishments...legacy.
Anybody else a Beatles fan who has done this?
Sorry about there being no Mosrite connection in this thread-starter.
For that matter, did The Beatles even know The Ventures existed?

Been a Beatles fan since I was 13. 1962. I still listen to their music, and still love it, and miss the era.

Re: Listening to the Beatles sequentially
Rubber Soul ..
Shoe joke aside .. One of the two albums my folks ever bought me (the other one was Electric Ladyland) .. in '64 I would have been
15 ... that's when I first became Beatles aware really . with the first singles .. I must have been older when the Hendrix album appeared (scandalous sleeve design slightly horrified parents) .
But the Beatles songbook (Guitar version) certainly got me started learning chords ... (Probably the wrong chords) Stayed a fan all the way till the end..
They were the original triple threat .. sang like angels , played great , and looked good in tight trousers ( or was that the Rutles) , no they wrote great songs lol .
I too am pretty impressed at how they changed over the years .. sign me up to this appreciation club
cheers Juan
