Mothers are often right too... :o Actually, a piano is an excellent way to start off on any musical instrument I would think; many famous guitar players can play the piano too. (Hank Marvin of the Shadows, for instance) Unfortunately I can't play piano, can't read music and am still in a learning process with the guitar... :D

Perhaps our music teachers here may want to share their opinions... :?

Great Picture!!!!!!!!!! She already has great form on that "D" chord. She's even beginning her strum on the "A" string as she should. Most beginners hit the "E" string with the "D" chord. Thanks for sharing this wonderful picture!
