I'm kinda surprised that some of you guys (and gals, Sarah) haven't said May Had a Little Lamb or Camptown Races or something from the members that learned guitar at a very young age by a guitar teacher.

1st was "Cruel To Be Kind", (Nick Lowe); and 2nd was "Kid", (The Pretenders), which is a perfect "Mosrite" sounding song.

1st song you learned to play on guitar?

"Cottonfields" with 3 open chords; C F G7

I took the liberty to add these two:

1st Ventures solo you learned to play on guitar?

"Twisted" from Ventures' 60's album "The Ventures Twist Party"

1st Ventures tune you learned to play on bass?

"Mexico" from the album "The Ventures Play Telstar "

BTW; I have not been participating with this forum for a while as I had eye surgeries on both eyes in May. Still wear sunglasses everyday but am doing much better. (at least my wife let me drive the car by myself now)
