Well well ... I heard about this years ago but I never saw any trace of it to prove its existence. Chalk another one up for the value of this forum!

Veenture, if you're going to look for Ramones songs might I suggest giving the song "Bonzo goes to bitburg"? It's a great song as well as "poison heart". And if you're a Tom Waits fan even look for "I don't want to grow up".

But you gotta start with Blitzkrieg Bop. That was the first one I heard and it changed my world.

geez guys and gal, love all your reactions, thanks!!!...the RAMONES-fun is picking up speed…and guess who won’t be coming to dinner on this forum any time soon…-'nuff said.
I shall listen to all your recommended songs –and more of course…and report back, promise!
Yeah, I’m a Ventures fan but like many of us here, like a lot of other styles too, even some classic stuff, so there must be at least room for the Ramones too ;)

Catch you later,
Paul

hate to sound like a sexist pig, but I love what Lars from Rancid said about what song would you pick to cover from the ramones. he said "how do you pick? it's like having 300 eighteen year old girls parachute naked in your living room, and picking one to have sex with." heh.

my point being that the ramones really didn't have a song that wasn't any good. :P

I would to agree with you being a die hard Ramones fan my self but there's a song on the Animal Boy CD called crummy stuff that really isn't that good. as far as production stand point the only CD I didn't like was end of the century. I respect Phil Spector as a producer but him and the Ramones is like trying to combine oil and water. The musicanship was there but Spectors "wall of sound" was overkill.

what's weird is end of the century is suppose to be the ramones biggest selling album. I like that album, but if I was looking at production sound, I think 'acid eaters' and 'mondo bazarro' is the best sounding album; 'we're outta here' the best sounding live album.
you don't like the song crummy stuff? i love that song!

I had enough
I had it rough
I had enough
Of that crummy stuff

crummy crummy crummy crummy,
crummy crummy crummy crummy,
crummy crummy crummy crummy,
crummy stuff.

how can you mess with lyrics like that :)
