The photo of Johnny Ramone (and the Ramones) in what seems to be an ecstatic pose was taken by Ian Dickson at Eric's Club, Liverpool, England in May 1977. The double-page photo is featured in the book "WHO SHOT ROCK & ROLL - A Photographic History - 1955-Present" by Gail Buckland. The photo is on page 110 but after I took a photo of only the left hand side portion and downloaded it here, it was too small because of Flickr's size restriction. So I found a larger version on Google Images which you can see below.

First, I'd give the book 1 out of 5 stars for many reason but mostly that it doesn't deliver what the title implies. Second, I know that there are a few members here that hold the Ramones in high esteem but they're not my cup of tea. I posted it anyway because I thought that you might not be aware of this particular photo and so might enjoy seeing the photo and, particularly, his Mosrite.

So, ignore me and enjoy the photo.

Like the guy in the Adidas shirt just stairing him down. Pretty cool photo though, haven't seen that pose before.

Yes. The Addidas guy really stands out. He looks as though not having much fun.

Look at the guy guy in front of him playing an air guitar harmony with Johnny. At least he's having a good time.

Looks can be deceiving...I bet he was thinking about giving anything in the world to be JR... Indeed a very entertaining picture!

I think the guy in the Addidas tee shirt must have had severe gas judging by the look on his face as well as the fact that the two guys on each side of him are leaning as far away as possible to get away from him. Also, note the fellow on the left who is leaning over the rail, gasping for aire. Just a hypothesis.

I thinks their body expressions are telling us, man, this guy looks really dumb. That would be my hypothesis.

I have a poser from that same show. for those that lived through a ramones concert, farts are the least of your worries....
