Trouts Cocktail Lounge, 805 N. Chester Ave. Bakersfield, CA
One of my local musician friends just called me and advised that Bill Gruggett was in the hospital but was going to be release soon as he is getting better. During our conversation he informed me that several of the local folks were in the discussion stage of putting together a guitar and benefit show at Trout's Cocktail lounge in Oildale,CA. They would like to have anyone that has any connection with Bill either personally, professionally, owns Gruggett and Mosrite guitars to display, or anyone that would like to donate their assistance in helping promote the event by playing or speaking, to please consider being a part of the benefit show.
They have not picked a date as yet but wanted to start putting the feelers out to see who all may be interested and at what level they can participate. The main objected is to get as much participation as possible therefore the dates will depend when the majority can come together. Once all is finalized it will be well promoted locally both newspaper and television. As many of you already know Gruggett is a big part of the Mosrite history and Trout's Cocktail lounge is a big part of the Bakersfield Sound. Give it some thought and hopefully we here on the Mosrite Forum can help make this a success.
All the proceeds they raise is going to be donated to help pay the doctor bills.
