Re: Screen Names
I made mine up the day I got my first computer and went online, thought it sounded "cyber". And everybody remembers it easy enough. But it has absolutely no meaning whatsoever, like most of my posts.

Re: Screen Names
My name is a nick name I got a while back. My wife had a dog named Brutus a boxer
nice dog, dumb as a box of wet hair. The dog would get loose and be a speck on the horizon. One day when he came back he had lost a eye how? why? we don't know.
(though various theories are offered every time the family gets together).
So when I met my wife and her family back in 91 it was discovered that I had lost a eye as child in a accident (which is a whole other story) so they started to call me Brutus..Well it stuck.. Then I started to use the name in bands and well, thats my name now.

I picked my name out of the air as a throw away when I registered on a different forum some time ago. I just resurrected it for continuities sake, that's all.

Re: Screen Names
There is a suburb in Sydney called Mosman ( it's pronounced Mossmn—the A is virtually silent ) and I thought it had a ' Mosrite-man ' kind of connotation.

Re: Screen Names
My name i Conny, and "Konk" came from that, don't ask me how... The "of Sweden"-part is stolen from a brand of MP3-players called "Jens of Sweden" after the owner Jens (they even had their own Jens of Sweden song preloaded on all their MP3-players). It works great online because noone has to ask where I'm from... It should be obvious.
edit: oh, it also works as a name on my Ramones-tribute headstock. I never thought of that... "Konk of Sweden" written like "Mosrite of California". I need to make that happen...

101Volts was the name I came up with when I registered to Youtube. I was listening to AC/DC's "High Voltage" Album before I joined so there's your answer.

Re: Screen Names
LOSTVENTURE.
I started playing guitar around 1960 and you might guess the group that most influenced my early musical education. The Ventures of course. You did not play back then without learning some of their stuff. I have 58 of their 60's albums and still sit there amazed at some of the stuff they did. I use that same name on every guitar related forum that I have joined, just to let them know where I came from.
