:D Well Dennis, this what I have to work in not too spacious but it does the trick. I built this about 3 years ago cause I needed space for my tools. I just need to brush all the saw dust off my wife's Christmas and Halloween decorations when I'm done building.

I'm a-thinking that I'm going to put up one of those barn-style outbuildings - maybe when the weather breaks a bit. And BTW - look - A Dr Pepper can peeking out there! Nectar of the gods ....

Heck if you need help look me up I'm always looking for work. I don't mind driving 2-1/2 hours to build something. I did it all the time driving back and forth to Edwardsville and Caseyville. And don't let the Dr. Peper can fool you, I'm a mountain dew and red bull drinker. :D

Now there's a topic worth bringing up.
I've had people ( Mosrite detractors ) try to tell me they were made from everything from plywood to cardboard.
You can probably tell they weren't fans.

It's like Dr Pepper - not one of the Big 2, but... put one of those out at your party with Coke or Pepsi, and see which one goes first .... I think with the exposure, Mos would sell. They just keep getting stuck in obscurity ...[/quote]

I agree and it makes me so mad that every guitar shop here in Sydney has Japanese Mosrites in their sales catalogues but not one single place will ever— EVER get one in unless a customer orders it.
Bloody idiots!

That's exactly right.
I've gone into places and asked about Mosrites and they'll whip out their catalogue ( Aussie spelling ) and show me Excellent 65's and Super Custom 64's but they'll never stock them. At least none of the ones I frequent ever do—and I frequent a lot.
Surely you'd think someone would take a punt and try one, but noooo it's always the same old predictable stuff.

I knew of one place in another state that carried them for a while but the story I heard was that they were very slow sellers and they had to reduce the price drastically to move them.
You can blame the uneducated consumers for that.

Actually here's something that I get a lot which really baffles me. I go into a guitar shop and ask about Mosrites. I get the usual bewildered look so I use my standard question of whether or not they know the Ramones. They always reply that yes they know them and are huge fans. I then tell them that Johnny used only Mosrites. I then get something to the effect of "oh ... did he ? "

To work in a guitar shop and not know what a Mosrite is and not even know that the guitarist in one of their favourite bands used one exclusively is utterly inexcusable I reckon.

But that's the world we live in.

Bill.

I don't know about Lauderdale, but I've lived in the Daytona area since '66 and have never seen a Mosrite in any music store. The one only Mosrite I've ever seen (or played) was in, of all places Abilene, Tx. That was back in the early '70's.
