What is it with these guitar books?

I was browsing around a bookstore today and I found a guitar book which I'd never seen before ( wish I could remember the name ) and as usual I searched through it to see if it gave Mosrite a mention. Typically enough it didn't so I checked to see if Johnny Ramone got a look-in as sometimes they'll say something about his guitar. Well Johnny was there all right but believe it or not he was in the section about Hamer guitars! How do you figure that out? He spent years being known for his Mosrite guitar—which got no coverage at all— and yet all this book can acknowledge is his very brief use of a Hamer.
I dunno.
Bill.

Bill,
I/We hear ya ;) . I too have checked a few books. Sometimes when I would look up the Ventures in some of these Books that talked
about different groups of the 60s, there would be a few lines about them. And if they managed to squeeze a PIC of them in, it would
usually be a PIC of them playing Fenders with Nokie STILL on the 'P' Bass and Bob on his Jazzmaster  !

If you did not "know" better, you'd think there was some sort of an "ignore Mosrite conspiracy."

However...

...never attribute to malice, that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

Yeah, It just so happens to be that way. If they managed to actually have anything in that book about The B-52's they would probably not say anything abut Ricky, Or they would say he was the drummer like Rolling Stone Magazine did. What a boo boo that was.
