TO EVERYONE ON THE FORUM. AFTER RECENT EVENTS AND LOVING THE HISTORY AND EVENTS THAT WE GET TO DISCUSS. HOWEVER AFTER TALKING TO MANY FAMILY
MEMBERS AND THOSE OF US THAT REALLY WERE THERE AND CLOSE TO THE FAMILY.

I WOULD PROPOSE THAT I WOULD LIKE TO WRITE A EDITORIAL OF THE WAY
ANDY, DANA AND OTHERS INCLUDING MYSELF LOOK AT THE YEARS OF MANY
ARTICLES THAT GO BACK DECADES AND HAVE BEEN PASSED ON AS FACTS. SOME HAVE COME OUT IN BOOK OR MAGAZINE'S FORM. STORIES IN SURVEYING THE SITUATION IT APPEARS THAT WHEN STORIES WERE PASSED OVER AND OVER IT LOOSES SOME FACT IN THE TRANSLATION. I HAVE BEEN AROUND PRINT AND VIDEO MEDIA FOR SOME 59 YEARS, I KNOW HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED. RUMORS AND EMBELLISHMENT'S AND EVEN SOME GUESS WORK SHOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN. A POINT OF ORDER IS WHILE I WAS WORKING WITH ANDY FOR SOME 10 MONTHS LAST YEAR WE TALKED ABOUT SOME RECENT ARTICLES JUST PRINTED. HE SAID TAKE THIS STACK OF MAGAZINE'S HOME AND FIND THE ERROR'S. TASK COMPLETED I KNEW WHAT THE POINT WAS. WHO WROTE THIS STUFF? THERE WERE ERROR'S IN EVERY ARTICLE. AND NOT ONE EDITOR,OR PUBLISHER OR STAFF WRITER (THAT PROBABLY), THE EDITOR ASSIGNED TO THE PROJECT EVER CALLED ANDY, DANA, MARK, JACK, MYSELF. IT IS UNBELIEVEABLE. WHAT ARE THESE 2ND AND 3RD GENERATION GUYS THINKING. I HAVE WRITTEN, THERE ARE NO ONE OR TWO PEOPLE THAT ARE EXPERTS OR CERTIFIED AUTHORS. I HAVE TO TELL YOU I HAVE BEEN VICTIM OF THIS TYPE STUFF. YOU CAN SAY IT GOES WITH THE TERRITORY. YOU ALL MAY NOT AGREE WITH ME BUT IF SOMEONE COMES ALONG AND SAYS I AM A EXPERT OR KNOW ALL ASK ME!. MY ADVICE IS TO TURN AWAY. THE ONLY PEOPLE I WILL EVEN LISTEN TO WHEN I AM GATHERING INFORMATION ARE FIRST AND FOREMOST ARE THE MOSELEY FAMILY. THEN GO ON FROM THERE. ARTICLES ARE SO ABSENT OF MANY FACTS THAT IT'S NUTS. AFTER VISTING WITH DANA TODAY, I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING HER HERE IN DECEMBER. I CAN SAY ONE THING THAT WILL BE DISCUSSED WILL BE HOW THE LEGACY OF MOSRITE WILL BE TOLD DIRECTLY FROM THE FAMILY. IT MAY BE SOMEWHAT OF A MESS AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF HEARSAY. WHO KNOWS? I WANT THE RIGHT AND CORRECT INFORMATION TO COME FORWARD. I HAVE EXPERIENCED MANY WRITERS, (SELF PROCLAIMED EXPERTS), ARE LOOKING FOR GRATATUDE, EGO'S AND A DESIRE TO BE ACCEPTED. I DON'T CARE IF THEY DO NOT CALL ME. BUT AT LEAST ASK THE FAMILY, BEFORE PUBLISHING AND GOING TO PRINT.

FACT, FICTION AND MYTHS IT'S WHAT HISTORY IS MADE OF AND WHY DEBATES
ARE SO IMPORTANT HERE. THIS IS A GREAT VENUE FOR DISCUSSION.

A LAST MINUTE THOUGHT TO MAKE AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT I MEAN. THERE WAS
A GUITAR PUT ON E-BAY THAT WAS MADE BY SEMIE FOR HIS GRANDSON. THE E-BAY
STORY HAD DANA PAWNING THE GUITAR FOR MONEY. SHE DID NOT DO THAT
DUSTIN GOT RID OF IT. DANA TOLD ME SHE IS CONTACTING THE SELLER AND HAVE HIM PUT THE STORY RIGHT. POINT MADE.

can of Worms. I expect some hot feedback I am not trying to be confrontational,
just caution. I thank you for seeing that. This topic and HAS been a topic
of conversational within for years and is not new.

That is very good of you Elaine; we all can learn the most by listening and not by talking. Yes, the media...
Generally speaking, the 'gossipy' type of magazines we have here will print just about anything -true or made up- simply to boost their sales and in spite of law suites that often follow.

The true fans of Mosrite guitars and -history here on the Forum are very fortunate to have your- and others' first hand accounts of what went down in Mosrite history...

That is no small task you aim to undertake...we appreciate your efforts.

I've said before, that someone (with 1st hand knowledge) should make a movie
of Semie's life and the hitory of Mosrite. It reallyseems to be an interesting story.

A PBS Biography would be awesome!!!! Plenty of great Material, just look at all the Different Artist that used Mosrite. Semie's story also has enough turns and twist that could make it a very compelling screen adaptation.

not so sure how many tickets one might sale. I wish it was different. Semie
like Joe Maphis have never been credited with the dues that are owed them.
Joe and Rosie should be in the HALL OF FAME here in Nashville. I am not
the only one to have expressed that to the powers to be in Town for many. many
years. Joe should also be in the New MUSICIANS HALL OF FAME also here
in Nashville. Started and Founded by Music Store Owner Joe Chambers.
