Nokie Edwards suffers heart attack

If you have not got the news yet, I am saddened to say that Nokie has suffered a heart attack in Japan a couple of days ago, he is still with us but in critical condition, we all need to pray for a speedy recovery.

I am praying for his recovery. He is one of the last 2 of my early guitar hero's that got me into playing guitar.

I would like to add my prayers and sentiments for a speedy recovery. I hope Judy traveled to Japan with him, and can be with him now...

Just got an update on Nokie. Judy is in Japan with him, so he has some "moral" support. He is still with us, so let's hope he can pull through.

I've been following the news closely. Nokie was my very first serious guitar hero, and I wish him the very best. There's probably nowhere else in the world (including the U.S.A.) where he's more revered (and rightly so) as a guitar legend than in Japan, where The Ventures have had a huge following for...well, more than half a century now.
I like what Don Wilson said about the Japanese: When they become fans, it's for life...and you become
their fan. Cool.
Get well, Nokie. You have some fans for life here in 'Merica too.
