Hearty Howdy--And Set-Up Question

A hearty "Howdy" to everyone from a new forum member. I just acquired a 1967 Mark V to play in my surf band (www.Surf67.com) here in Las Vegas. I have already found this site to have a wealth of information. I have built a number of musical instruments, from arch-top mandolins to electric guitars (Telecaster, Stratocasters, and a Les Paul). Looking forward to getting good information on Mosrite setup (fret height, "action", relief, etc.). Although I can make a good sound with my new Mark V, from the looks of the frets someone has taken some liberties with them (no crown and very low fret height (0.013" from the fretboard to the top of the 7th fret under the first string). Any insights on whether this is "typical" or other advice welcome. :?:
Looking forward to hearing from you!

That is how they were made. They were called speed frets.
