The DVDs are expensive but invaluable.

Alright then, Good to hear. Are you leveling the frets after they're all installed? You also have to crown them afteleveling... Oh and yes, I refretted an acoustic. Its easier to fret the first time than to refret a guitar, I can tell you that. The frets stay in their slots easier.

I was about to add... Truss rod tension is extremely important as well as proper neck and headstock support...

That LMI slotting system looks really cool. Wish I would have had one last year when I built a 3 PU Telecaster. The cost really isn't that high compared to the cost of a mistake.

HI mosdan, I checked out the miter saw deal on the internet, one of the guys told me about it. Like they say, day late dollar short. I made my own took a bit of time but what the heck, nothing else to do. I think it came out great, every thing was square. Had to it in two steps, but it all worked out good :D

Hi 101 volts, just finished up the fretting today, now were going to change the looks of the neck a little. Yeah, its gona look like a fender, but it's a gibson scale, and the padel head going to have a touch of wallnut added to it, I want it to look alittle different, don't want it too look to much like a store bought strat.

Just to let uall know that we ordered some parts for the neck today, and I'm in the process of woking on the nut, made it out of brass. Had some number drils as small as the hair on your head, so I think I've got the string size covered. That 10" rad. is going to be interesting when it comes to matching the curve and height from the frets. Oh one other thing I corrected the mistakes on the finger board. Will have some pics for you to check out soon :D :D :D
