Bass Pickup Spacing for double Pup Ventures

Postby Massassauga » Mon Jun 06, 2011 5:11 pm

hey cats...
If anybody on here has a Double Pickup Venture bass and a ruler and wouldn't mind doing a quick measurement between the two pickups that'd be raaaadddd--let's say pole to pole between the two sets of top and bottom-most poles? I guess that's two measurements as the neck is angled. Anyways I'm adding a 2nd pickup to a build that is so far only routed for the neck and want to get it as close to right as I can.

Actually looking at pics online it'd seem that even factory originals have a variety of different spacings....thoughts? And Thanks!!

I'll post some pics soon (once I figure out where to host them!)!

Top side is 5 1/4", bottom side is 5 3/4", center to center of poll pieces on my '72.

Andy, I'm guessing that this is not a 60s one pick-up model that you are routing a hole into.....??.....

I think it's a partsrite from the Muldoon cache.
