'Few years ago, 'purchased a nice Combo probably late 60s, from an Oklahoma dealer.
Great guitar and despite spending 15 years before hitting the used guitar market...in a barn in Texas, it's a really nice player in better shape than "should be."
Frets are SO low, proably average about .015 inch. Grooves on some decrease even that height.
Frets to have some file marks and grooves (also on Zero fret) and some low-notes fingerboard wear. Some binding has been repaired and looks fragile along the neck, as well.
There is an honest terror about having her refretted.
Thoughts, anyone?
Thank you.

Re: Worn and filed frets
My thoughts are that unless you're a collector, ya need to make it playable to your liking. Otherwise, it just sits and produces no song ....

You could use Dunlop 6340 Fretwire; It's 072 wide and though it's a bit expensive, I think it's the closest you can get to Mosrite-sized fretwire today.

Re: Worn and filed frets
refretting a mosrite is probably easier than most . I have found the binding will pop right off , and is not hard to re do at all. I have done 4 mosrite refrets and now that i think about it Id rather do 10 mosrites than 1 bound les paul
