Hi,
Brand new to the forum due to a recent problem that I could use some help on.
The trem arm on my '65 finally gave out. The threaded post on the arm cannot hold the nut on any longer. The threading is pretty worn down, and I have tried putting a new nut on and tightening as much as I can but it still pops off.
I wanted to ask for suggestions from forum members for possible solutions. I'm not totally comfortable taking it to the guy who works on my other guitars because I don't always trust his judgement. Obviously would like to keep the original arm without modifying it beyond what is necessary to make it functional.
I've put some pics below. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also if anyone could recommend someone who works on Mosrites in the NYC area would be appreciatted. Thanks guys!
Rory

Hello and welcome to the forum. You can send the arm to me for repair if you like. I would drill out the existing threaded rod and insert a new one. Or you can take it to your local machine shop and have them do it.
