Oigun,

Wow, that's fantastic! You must be a very patient fellow! Yes, the trem is balanced between the tension of the spring and the tension of the strings.

Thanks Mel,Gabber I love your music. The word mesjokke like many words is completely adapted in the dutch language especially nearby Amsterdam there are plenty of jiddish words that are used in common language. The combination traditional jiddish music and surf is genious

The staggered string holes in the vibramute trem are they there for a purpous? Or is it ok to drill them all in one line??

Thanks, ook namens Oigun.
The vibrato Oigun is building is supposed to go on my guitar.
I (or We really) still haven't decided if we're going to install a mute and a compensated bridge or a rollerbridge.
We (or at least I) are looking to make this a pretty versatile guitar without taking away from looks.
Opinions/tips are most welcome.

dubtrub wrote:Well, I see no one has responded to your question. so I'll give it a try. I will try to describe the area where I take the measurements and hopefully you will be able to follow what I'm trying to describe. Measurements will be in inches.

Overall length, 4 1/16"
Length from the bridge side of base plate to the curved recess where the Vibramute writing is located, 3 13/16"
Width at the widest point, that being where the spring area protrudes farther out from the rest of the plate, 3 7/16"
Width at bridge end of base, 3 3/16"
Width at opposite end where it say's Vibramute, 3 3/16"
Height where the bearings for the rocker attaches, 15/64"
Center of rocker bearing hole from end of base, 1 1/8"
Center of recess for the spring measuring from the base end 1 15/16"
Thickness of base plate is 3/16"

Once you get that done, let me know and I will give you the measurements for the rocker and arm assembly if you need it.

WHAT ARE THE MEASUREMENTS FOR THE ROCKER ARM AND ASSEMBLY, LIKE THE HEIGHT OF THE PEDESTALS ?

Doesn't everybody?
How dare you presume to inject, using reproducible facts and rational thought, an on-topic discussion into a thread that had degenerated from sarcasm, personal invective, and hand-waving arguments?
