Thank you. I appreciate all the nice comments.

" Are the dimension the same as your other Maphis you've built?" - jtr654

jtr654 - The body dimensions have changed slightly over the years . I started to decrease the lower bout over the years and have settled on the outline you see here. My original tracing that I made in 1957 was of Larry Collins doubleneck. That's what Deke Dickerson's guitar was built from. At the time and for decades afterward did not realize that Larry's outline was not the same as Joe's. The last 5 doublenecks have used the same template as the one above. Not exactly the same as Joe's. I have taken some personal license with the design. Hope Semie wouldn't mind.

Thanks again for your warm comments. For those interested I've got the finished photos page up on my site. Here's a link http://www.bobsyouruncle.net/TNM_Guitars/Bill%20Bartlett/BillBartlettFinished.htm
To complete the package, Bill has ordered a Standel 25L15 to top it off.

Unfortunately, Bill's going to have to wait a bit longer to get his hands on his guitar. The case production is about two weeks late.

Stunning! I would love to see one of these in person. The detail is just extraordinary! How do you get it so shiny?

Sarah, I'm surprised at you. You haven't been to any of Deke's Guitar Geek Fests? I've had several guitars there every year but more than that you're missing one of the premier guitar events of the year. Let's have no more of that. - Terry

I know! I've wanted to for the past two years and something gets in the way. This year, just a couple of days before the show everyone in our house got a really nasty flu. I was sick for three weeks! And last year I was all set to go and even had a nice little jam with Elaine all set up and my car died and I had no one to take me there.

Next year for sure!! Don't they say third times a charm?

Terry--

Wow, it looks great! I know Bill will be really happy with it.

I've been meaning to call you, but I've been super busy. And i can see that you've been super busy too!

Let's get together soon.

Aboslutely amazing craftsmanship Terry! Outstanding! I love looking at your beautiful guitars.

BTW, so nice to see our pickups being put to good use! BTW, we have gold screws now for these, why don't I send you some. It looks like the screws on the pups I sent are nickel, I will get some gold out to you. Let me know if I am not seeing this right.

Again Terry, you are a master,

Bob
