is this what you have in mind?

Looking for something like the one I posted in the picture above.
Dark tortoise. I don't know if the one in your link is dark enough for my picky taste.

Seems to be a multi ply tort. States; tort/mint/black/mint.
Usually these are photo-tort.

Haha!

Found this page: http://www.edroman.com/customshop/pickguards.htm

Looks like they might be able to help. But do I really want to go down this road?
I get the feeling of slight unease whenever I'm browsing that site.

There's a source for TorTis or the like in UK too. They're kinda stiff to deal with, but have a nice selection.

After more than a month of silence in this thread, I think it is time for an update to let all you nice folks know that this project still lives!

All the goodies from M3 ships in Oiguns direction today. It should reach Oi's doorstep in 2-4 weeks.
Including such items as:

- 2 M3 RH100 Dual-Tone/Hot Circuit pickups.
- 3 M3 spun knobs.
- ABM Roller Bridge.
- FULL M3 California trem.

Now we continue the waiting game. Cheers everybody.
