Ok, there has to be one forum member that is a pilot that can pick everyone up.
Jim, you have the managing skills to make this happen. Please find out who it is immediately. It must be Terry I think. Terry are you a pilot?
East side story, I love it. I need a XL t-shirt by the way Mel.
Andy, are you donating fuzzrites for the party favor bags? I am donating one cast alnico segment and one 1965 roller saddle per bag and a little bag of paint chips from a 63 sidejack. Hey, they are rare......ok?

Hah!
I am glad I live so close that I wouldn't have to fly to make this amazing event!
All kidding aside, I was one of the founding members of the rec.musicmakers.guitar.acoustic forum East Coast Gatherings, and we'd rent a state park in the Northern Neck of Virginia each spring. The huge lodge at the park was where we'd assemble for meals and picking for the three-day event.
It started off with about a dozen of us the first year and after a few years the gatherings had an attendance of well over 100 people; some folks would fly in from Europe and the West Coast. The acoustic players in England and in Texas and California began having their versions of the gatherings, too.
The Web forum started getting very political and otherwise objectionable, as it was not moderated, and I stopped reading it about six years ago. Then I stopped going to the annual gatherings, though I still am in contact with some of the DC-area acoustic guitar players.
So that proved to me that a group of players who only know each other from the Net can get together and have a great time and form lasting friendships.

Ok, ok, we'll give away Mosrite guitar shaped cookie-cutters, and then we'll put together some Ventures coloring books only instead of crayons, nitrocellulose. Maybe we can hire a Semie-impersonator? We could make a soldering station for a "Wire The Mosrite Guitar" contest, whoever gets it right wins the guitar!
All kidding aside, if the economy was in better shape I'd be all for a meetup.

How dare you presume to inject, using reproducible facts and rational thought, an on-topic discussion into a thread that had degenerated from sarcasm, personal invective, and hand-waving arguments?

Well Jim, this Forum IS moderated, and the Administrator and the Mods will not tolerate such postings. When a Forum does becomes objectionable, usually the majority will constantly be in 'bicker mode' and then eventually the 'site will cease to exist. There's nothing wrong with having a different opinion on a subject and sharing your thoughtsThe Web forum started getting very political and otherwise objectionable, as it was not moderated, and I stopped reading it about six years ago. Then I stopped going to the annual gatherings, >......
with everyone, as long as it's done in a mature fashion. So B4 I just keep ramblin,' that AIN'T HAPPENING here........

make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Not only is this forum moderated, it is WELL-MODERATED. I have seen others where that is not the case, for whatever reason.
It makes all the difference in the world.

Hey Matt, the pickups were delivered to the house, and they are better looking in person than when I was looking at them on line (LOL). I'll email you a schematic. Glad you like them! They do look better in person...I'm not the greatest photographer in the world!

Oi, it would be really cool to see a step by step of how you put the one back together.
