Paper traceings of a strat

Used maple for the body and quarter sawn maple for the neck

Templts

Glueing blanks for the body

Blank after cutting on the band saw

Body and neck after final cutting on router table.

First attempt at german carve,and routered neck pocket

final fit + or - .003 neck taper 0.8 degrees in neck pocket..press fit

Looking good, Woodchuck! I like that German carve on any style body, and looks like you've done a good job on it!

Thanks for the complements all. Yeah, more pics. to come, at the slow part now making the finger board, and cutting in the frets by hand. got cheep, found a nice piece of maple, and some wallnut for the markers, got to try this to see if I can do it, can't be that hard. The question is, what did they do before CNC machines? THink I got it figured out, we'll see again thanks

Well, You can use a dremel.
