Pickups
I got my Eastwood for xmas, love it to death, I mean how cant you! Ive noticed it doesnt sound too much like Johnnys Mosrite did. I wanted to know what pickups John used for his white Mosrite. I know its a dumb idea to change the pickups in a cheap-o guitar but heck, I dont care. Thanks guys for the help.

Re: Pickups
Not such a dumb idea - I've made so many mods to my little Squier Strat 'til the only thing that's original is the neck ...

Re: Pickups
Johnny had a Dimarzio FS-1 single coil at the bridge and a Seymour Duncan mini humbucker at the neck. But only the bridge pickup was wired to the switch.

Re: Pickups
Found an FS-1 for 69.99. Might keep the mini that came with it in. I heard WoodyAmsterdam has an FS-1 in his Ramone guitar. Thanks for the info.

Re: Pickups
personally, I think that pickup sounds awful. I'm convinced the only reason it sounded good with Johnny is because it was played through a ton of Marshall amps.
Cheers,
