Ok so who wants to do a refinish for me?

Postby eltuce » Sun Apr 18, 2010 4:50 pm

Ok so who wants to do a refinish for me? I was thinking about trying it myself but have little faith. Also, don't really have the best space to be doing it in either. I finally found a neck to fit my junky 70s Epiphone Crestwood so it's time to bring it back to life me thinks. I'm going to do a little more poking around locally but so far I'm not coming up with much.

Wow, I'm a dummy, how did I not even think of that? He's a pretty busy guy though so it could take a while, then again I'm not in a huge rush.

Depends on what you want, If no one else wants to, I might take a shot at it :)

The body was refinished once already and somewhat poorly, then there was some more stain on top of that so it needs to be stripped. Still not sure what I want to do color wise. It was routed for a 3rd pickup at some point but I think I'm gonna cut a new guard to cover the holes and just go with one P90 in the bridge. Hmmm, wonder what a TV Yellow Crestwood would look like.

I can't remember what a crestwood looks like, do you have any pics? if it's just the body, I strip and refinish them for 350. necks are 150. hope this helps.

Looks like a bright chrome yellow like the corvets are colored, or a perlesent yellow. Might look real good.
