Ready-made bodies?
Is there any place out there where a guy can buy unfinished Mosrite-style guitar bodies? Warmoth has every wacky body shape in the book, but nothing close to Uncle Semie's gems.

You might check on eBay for some of the clones that go fairly cheaply. Search for "guitar project". I've seen similar styles.

Re: Ready-made bodies?
If there were a demand for a body in the white for around two hundred bucks, might get Ed Elliott to make up some for sale. Keep in mind I don't know that for sure and only thinking out loud.

There's a couple of builders on here. You could PM them to see if they can hook you up.

Re: Ready-made bodies?
Ed Roman sells Johnny Ramone kits for building your own Mosrite, I emailed him for some info and apparently they make the kits after each order so their cutting the bodies in Vegas I guess. Anyways if he can make one, he may be able to cut other models, maybe give him a call. I don't know if he'd sell just the bodies though...could be pricy.

A couple of years ago I asked Ed how much for a slab VII body and he quoted:
$350.00 not painted $700.00 painted
$350.00 not painted $700.00 painted

I've thought about doing that. But I tested the water and not a lot of fish bites.

Re: Ready-made bodies?
i plan on making a mosrite copy with a mahogany or walnut back and a tiger maple top. i just think that mosrite three tone sunburst would look bad-a** on tiger maple

Re: Ready-made bodies?
Hi Guys,
I've often thought about doing something like Ken Warmoth did with Fender style bodies and necks
But with Mosrite replacement parts, offering all the classic body and neck designs from the 60s and 70s.
How much interest is there in Mosrite style guitar and bass Kits ???? Finished and unfinished.
bodies, necks, pickups and pickguards.
If anyone is interested, drop me a line.
Ed Elliott
