Mosrite Pole Piece Screws or something like them?

They are called fillister head screws, they make both slot or Phillips head, 6x32 thread x 3/4" long. Make sure they are steel not stainless steel. Try you local nuts and bolt specialty store as most general hardware store won't have them.

forgive my ignorance, but what difference would it make between steel and stainless steel?

Stainless steel blocks about 90% of the magnetic energy. Not a good idea for an electric guitar pickup. ;)

Danny, a friend told me that the radios wouldn't receive much signal in those stainless-steel-bodied DeLoreans because of that. I don't know if it's true.
