I need to install a input jack in my 68 combo. Does anyone have a picture of a correctly wired guitar for me to follow?

dave this is something you should be able to handle without a photo but i added this diagram just in case. you will only have two wires to solder. a hot and a ground. if you wire it up wrong, the guitar will work but you will have a lot of background noise, so just reverse them. either way you have a 50% chance of doing right

if you look up any wiring diagram a mono input jack like on the combo will all be the same. if you only see one wire running to the jack, that means the inner core of the wire is your hot and the outter wire is the ground. often times semie wrapped vinyl tape around the jack. this is not needed but you can wrap the new jack if you like. i tend to also add a decent amount of solder on the jack because thats the area the electronics get the most abuse. (removing the chord) hope this helps.

oh i forgot, also make sure you replace it with a switchcraft input jack. these are the best quality, and run about 3 bucks
