I need somebody to print up a few Casanova guitars headstock decals? Does anybody know a service or could a forum member help me out? Thank you :)

If you have your logo already set up, you can print it yourself onto decal paper. Testor's sells small packs of water slide decal paper that you can print on with a laser printer or an inkjet printer. I see it at hobby shops and crafts stores all the time.

Just print your image on the paper, spray a clear coat over the artwork to protect and bind it together and when it's dry cut it out, soak it in water and apply it to your headstock.

I've used that laser decal stock; ordered it online.

It does a nice job for most purposes. Couple of things to consider.

You may want to flop the art horizontally so that the decal stock is over the art when you place the decal. The other thing to remember is that the toner or inkjet "ink" is four-color process based, meaning that any color you print will be a combination of cyan, magenta, yellow and black.

What that means is that you can't print a white-inked decal. Yellow is as light as you can get, and whatever the color that you're placing the decal on will influence the perceived color of the print.

Another thing is that you can't use liquid-inkjet toner to print on the laser decal paper. I tried that the other day just to see what would happen and it was a messy, blobby mess!

Good call on the warnings. There are different types of paper depending upon the type of printer that you use.

I've used some stuff that has a pre-printed white layer that I then printed a reverse black image on giving the look of a white printed decal.

Of course you can also silkscreen the logo on using a simple screen.

also you have to make sure the printer is cold. most printers run fairly hot and it will melt decal paper. so you just turn on the printer right before you are ready to print. but i think mick is also asking for some graphic design help, if I'm not mistaken.

Wow! I have got to spend more time in hobby stores! (At least a three-hour drive for me) I've been hand carving my logo right into the guitar...a time intensive, stress intensive process...one slip, and  ! Thanks for the tip!
