I saw that Tym offered Mosrite Humbucker style pups in the size of regular humbuckers on his old site, I haven't seen them on his new site though. Who offers pickups like these for sale? I might put some in my 335 copy if I can find any.

Yes, Although now I'm also wondering if there are Mosrite-style single coils (Either the regular type or the MK V type) That are made to fit a regular humbucker-sized pickup ring.

Yeah, we already make them. Exactly the same as an RH-100 under the hood.



We also make Mosrite humbuckers in the traditional humbucker size. Our versions are a modern incarnation inspired by Dennis The Menace - the XR-2000's. The bridge is 15-16K ohms and the neck is 12-13K, both with Ceramic 8 magnets. Very, very, very hot pickups. They will drive an amplifier. We also make the traditional Mosrite humbuckers with two Alnico V magnets and parallel wiring. They come out to about 5-6K.

pretty cool. matt are you still making though strat size mosrite pickups? those were too cool, and it would be nice to see a picture of one on this thread

We haven't made any for awhile but still can. I've updated a few design features. We're making them with bobbinless coils now. The same bobbinless coils we use for our Mosrite designs. Depending on the number of turns on the coil, it could have the same response and tonal characteristics of a typical Moseley single-coil, or if we wind it to a lower output it may sound a little more like one of our XR-2000's in coil-shunt mode. Of course the Alnico V magnets will sound different from the ceramic.

Hey Austin, I agree with you. The website is terribly out of date again ; we have tons of information that we want to have uploaded. Not to mention research like the thread I just posted about magnets. Just haven't had the time for it. Too busy making pickups I guess. One of the things we've been wanting to do is to have a customer gallery. We have photos and videos from customers and builders (like Eugen) who have used our pickups and we thought it would be cool to show all the different projects. We even have customers who've installed them in Les Pauls and SG's...really interesting stuff. I think we've sort of become ambassadors of the Mosrite tone, it's crossing over into all kinds of guitars now.

i have a 61 gibson melody maker a friend gave me to work on. he installed an old 65 mosrite pickup in it. great tone..
