Hi guys,
I've not been talking on the forum much, but i've not been idel either. Making another guitar and doing some playing around with the paint. I've decide to try an epoxie finish this time, and so far so good. the dry time is a little longer, but over all I think it takes about the same time as lacquer to cure, and I think the finish is harder. I chose apliance paint from Home depot following all the standard prep steps before the final coulor is applied. I know there's a lot of contraversy over the sound quality in the different types of finishes used. Someone on the forum said that 90 percent of the sound comes from the electronics used, so the type of finish shouldn't matter that much. went to different pups and pots, kind of excited to hear what it sounds like. more to come when its finished.
