New project - what am I starting with?

Just picked up this Mosrite body and neck online and would like to start planning my project. I'd like to restore it as much as possible but I'll need to know exactly what I have here. The pics may not be for the faint of heart. Any comments and ideas welcome. The serial number on the fretboard is B1589.

A little googling found this page: http://www.hang10.de/mosrite-ventures-2-serial-numbers/. It would seem that this is a late '68-early '69 post Ventures model. Only about 150 of them made. Need some leads on parts if anyone can help.
