Hello, I'm new to the forum.
Not long ago a friend came by with a HiFlyer that he'd just acquired. When I couldn't talk him out of it, I decided to make something similar for myself.
It's got a one piece walnut neck, and mahogany body with a curly maple cap. Here's where I'm at now.

That's way better than a Hi-Flyer!
I've always loved the look of black walnut. Let us know how it works for the neck as far as stability, etc.

Thanks! I'm not inventing anything here. Many guitar's have been built from walnut. Remember "The Paul"? Those were walnut.

Thanks, I hope to make some progress this weekend if I get some of this other gear out of the way.
