To try to understand why my mosrite was lacking in sustain, I decided to take it apart and see if there was something I could do to fix the problem. I took some pics along the way, hope you guys enjoy them.

check this out. the gold screw is a typical screw for a gibson les paul. these screw on the back plates. the larger screws are the mosrite pickguard screws!!!
one thing to take notice. the pickguard is wider where the controls are, and the cavity in the guitar is much wider as well. some of you have had made comments on this topic on other 70's mosrites, and maybe this helps to answer those questions.
