I haven't heard a peep about Deke's Geek Fest. Apparently no one from the forum attended?

I'm pretty sure Elaine was there and I think Adam as well. I couldn't get there which was a major bummer!

I was supposed to be there, but I got held up and couldn't make it. Really want to hear some reports, see some pictures!

Re: Save the Date: Deke's Guitar Geek Festival January 16, 2010
We were there!
It was possibly the best yet. Congratulations Deke.
Deke puts his heart and soul and about 23 hours of the day leading up to this very entertaining event and another 23 after. Not to mention the preceding 364 days of planning and prep that starts right after I don't know how he does it.
Me and a couple of my friends will be going over to Deke's this morning to help unload the the ton of guitars and amps from the show.
Adam was there running the "garage sale". Got to meet Vincent aka DeasertSurfer and one other forum member but sorry, I can't remember his name. Sarah was a no show. Sorry we didn't get to meet. Maybe next year!
Bravo! Deke

Re: Save the Date: Deke's Guitar Geek Festival January 16, 2010
Yeah. it was a lot fun. Unfortunately I could not stay too long to see Duane Eddy played (he played at midnight) I did see Elaine played. She was great!
A lot nice antique guitars on display.
I got to see a few old friends; Artie, Dana and a few Fillmore people I met at Yokohama Guitar Show. Got to meet with Bob Shade, Terry and Adam. I could not find Mel and Sarah. (Room is not big but with a lot people, could hardly walk through the crowds)
Terry makes wonderful guitars... If I can sell some of my collection soon, I would get that beautiful "OK Corral" guitar..

OK, a quick rundown on the GGF. Two word summary: frickin' awesome! For the most part I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. In addition to catching up with forumites I already know, I got to meet Handbrake, Elaine Frizzell and Ed Elliot. Terry, Bob Shade and Ed all had guitars on display, and I can tell you we are at a very exciting time as Mosrite fans. It was a big weekend for me personally, as not only did I have the honor of performing at the GGF, I got to meet one of my main guitar inspirations - Duane Eddy. I also had the opportunity to debut my new custom Hallmark, built by Bill Gruggett with pickups handwound by Bob. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet all members who were there, but hopefully next year.
Without further ado, pictures!
Duane Eddy's soundcheck:

Me with Duane and my copy of "Have Twangy Guitar, Will Travel"

Guitar Museum:

Rabbi Dickerson introducing Meshugga Beach Party:

Dancin' Fools!

Dig that Hallmark!

Buddy and Suzie Dughi

Me with Ed Elliot, holding his new pre-Ventures replica. Having played the original at Danny's house when he was making a new pickguard for it, I can say that Ed really nailed it!

Me with Dave Wronski and my new Hallmark. Dave was very impressed with the Hallmark repro of the flip mute. Could there be a 59 Custom in his future?

Crazy Joe Tritschler, his "midget" guitar, Chris Sprague and Deke Dickerson:

Me with George Tomsco of the Fireballs. It was great to see him play, and kudos to Deke for attempting to bring the Hammond Solo-vox to life for "Sugar Shack"

Forum members Elaine Frizzel and Artie "Bakeoboy" Neison. Elaine's set with Brian Lonbeck was a blast!

The "Twelve String Nightmare" - 17 twelve strings on stage for a rendition of "Mr. Tambourine Man"

Terry McArthur and his TNM Custom guitars!

Me with Bob Shade and my new Hallmark!

Deke's Ramones Tribute. Deke, on the left, played both a Sheena and a Road to Ruin model. The Sheena in particular was a dead-ringer for Johnny's tone.

Duane Eddy! His set was incredible!
