Hope you had a good gig. I mentioned before in a post way back that I was a big garage-rock fan, and that I was/am really big on all the "Nuggets" bands. Your website's cool and so is your band's music - would really dig seeing your band. I would love to put together a garage rock band, but haven't really come across anybody who's into it. I have a Buzzrite fuzz box just itching to be used, but so far I just have to amuse myself at home with it. One of these days I will incorporate into our surf band - I'll sneak it in somehow. Thanks Byron. The show was a great success "The vibes were intense and the grooves immense" to quote a fan afterwards. I did have some slight tech problems, the poor little Buckingham was try to keep up with our bass players new Peavey 400 tube bass amp! but thanks to a great sound guy and modern P.A. we were fine.. looks like I will have to bring out the 2210 jcm 800 Marshall 100w and 1960 A cab to hear myself on stage. My photo guy didn't remember to take any photos I think the $1.00 drinks he was getting had something to do with that.
The One Night Standards are a great great surf band!! Talk to ScottStandard have him send you their C.D. it is great!! dripping with reverb and high octane go-go surf, plus they got a song called Sidejack!!
Byron I think you should have the guys in your band listen to some Davie Allan and the Arrows his old stuff, the new stuff, it's all good learn a few gems then you can use that fuzz.
I hope to get our c.d. out by the end of the year.
