BRIAN LONBECK & ELAINE FRIZZELL APPEARING AT THE DEKE GEEK GUITAR FESTIVAL AT THE PLAZA HOTEL IN ANAHEIM, CALIF. JAN 16th, 2010

Hi to all. First a Happy Thanksgiving to all. Brian and I have been in contact with
each other and keeping Deke aware of the Set list we will do at the show on Saturday
the 16th of January 2010 at the Plaza in Anaheim. That is the week of NAMM Show. It will be the first time in years that Brian Lonbeck and I have been on stage together. We use to do this on a fairly regular basis. I want to invite ya all to join us in Anaheim. As most of you know Brian and I knew Joe Maphis and Merle Travis back in the good ole days up to the point when they passed on. The theme of the set is a Joe Maphis and Merle Travis songfest. Brian's lighting fast riffs teamed up with some Travis pickin' should be interesting. This is just a thrill to team up with my very dear long time friend. Hopefully this will lead to a Album in the coming year.
Thanks Deke.

Lve to All

I think that's Brian's 1984 American Model / VIII.

You are right. It's the Blue Mark, I gave to Brian right after his 2nd doubleneck was
stolen, in 1985. It was one of 6 guitars Semie sent me for the Music Store I managed,
"Jim's House Of Guitars" in the early 1980's to 1990. At that time there were no Guitar Center Store's or Sam Ash Stores in our area. That guitar was a lot different in the beginning. It was a three pickup with three mini-switch's, no guard. Semie called me one day and I told him Brian needed a Mosrite. I had 6 Mark's in stock with different options. Brian came down to the house and I gave him that blue one which he was still playing when he got the JM-65 with the double Binding and Terry then made Custom Necks for it.
