I am glad this thread on Our Music & Gigs is a great place for conversation's.
I want to comment on Nokie Edwards and what he meant to me. While I was
in College when the Ventures came up on Dalton. I listened and as a player I was impressed with a new great sound and notes just flowing off that Mosrite. I knew
Semie had come up with a new great looking sometimes called a reverse Strat with
a German Curve. However I was a devoted Travis, Maphis Fan and have remained
that way. I really got to know Nokie and wife Judy at the time we Recorded the Joe Maphis & Merle Travis Tribute Album on Mosrite Records. They are the greatest. I
was proud that Nokie was going to record a Track with me. It was about this time
that I was aware of the many recordings Nokie did with Mark Moseley at Sound
Control Studio's here in Nashville, where we did the Tribute Album. Mark owns Sound Control Studios and has recorded just about everyone in the business from Dolly
Parton to Garth Brooks from Ricky Skaggs to Porter Wagoner. Mark is a World Class Engineer and Picker. I am proud as he is also my Producer. OH yes Nokie is on
Mosrite Records and a wonderful person and Label Mate.

Great picture! I only met Nokie in person one time. It was in 2002. After his gig with a Dutch band "AdVenture" in Amsterdam, Nokie stayed on a little to 'meet-n-greet' and I certainly did not pass up on that opportunity! Thanks Elaine,

Paul
