Open invitation to Mosrite Geeks for the All-Mosrite Band!

Postby Deke Dickerson » Tue Dec 30, 2008 10:29 pm

Hey guys--

I'm developing the idea of the "All-Mosrite Band" at the Guitar Geek Festival on January 17th.

What we are doing is starting the set with a small band, then adding players as the set progresses.

The very last song of the set will be the "Batman Theme" in the key of G.

For this last song, we want to try and fill the stage with as many Mosrite players as we can.

SO....

This is an open invitation, anybody who brings their own Mosrite to the Guitar Geek Festival is invited to get on stage for the last number of the All-Mosrite band, "Batman Theme" It will be the craziest photo opportunity ever!

Now, I WISH that I could say that anybody who brings a guitar will get in free. I cannot offer that only because it's starting to look (based on advance ticket sales) that I'm going to lose a lot of money this year--blame it on the economy, or whatever you want. So, I can't get you in for free. But, if you bring your Mosrite, you're invited to share the stage with the Mosrite band for the last song. It should be a blast!

Thanks Mosrite geeks!

Deke,
If all goes well, I plan to make it down to the festival - can you post a schedule of event times, it would be really helpful.
Mel

PS. are parts-rites allowed in the all Mosrite jam band? I'd love to bring my Viii Also, are amps required?

Hey mel, Parts-Rites are fine...I mean, what are we going to have the "guitar police" there to see if it's Semie-made? ha ha.

I will post set times soon, but the All-Mosrite band will probably be around 10 or 10:30 pm. It will be the second to last set before the Crickets.

No need to bring an amp, we'll have a dozen amps on stage that people can just randomly plug into.

Thanks! Hope to see you and whoever else can make it.

Deke,
are there going to be some footage from the show? And I'm not talking about overdriven digicam footage ;-).

Deke,

Whew! I'm glad the guitar-police will be held at bay. While no one would mistake my attempt at a sunburst for a factory job, I tried to do right by Uncle Semie. ;)

Looking forward to the show!

TO answer the question, yes we'll be filming this for the DVD, so make sure you wear pants.

And we're doing a 4-camera pro shoot now with 16-track audio recording, so it's a major step up in quality from the first two DVD's, if you've seen those.
