Welcome Robbo! What colour is your '87 Mo'?
It would seem that during the 70's and 80's black was very often used by guitar makers, especially Fender...I wonder if Mosrite followed the fashion (if one can call it that. My '78 Fender P Bass is Black with a b/w/b pick guard).

Mine's just a plain-Jane sunburst Mosrite, I'm afraid, but that's okay because I like sunburst. ;) It has some buckle marks on the back from the previous owner(s) but nothing down to the wood, it has the "Moseley" tailpiece, and the back of the headstock is signed "Mosrite Forever, Semie Moseley 1988." (The shop I bought it from said it was an '87 so it may have been made in late 1987 and signed by Semie early in 1988.) I wound up buying a NOS metal switch tip from Andy Moseley on eBay because it had a black plastic one when I got it; I've read on other boards that it may have come from the factory that way so I hung onto the old one just in case.

Hey, Robbo, welcome from a former newbie who thinks this is a hip place to e-guitar-lounge around.
