Hello, new guy
Hello Mosrite forum!, Its nice to see a community for such a rare company. I am a self-taught keyboard player & compose music, mostly Jazz / electronic. I'm here trying to sell a few parts for the Celebrity Bass from my dad's old collection that has been in a box for many years. I have a set of pickups, tailpiece, etc. That I am going to be posting shortly, I wish I still had the body or else I would put it together myself. How much do these pickups go for anyway? There vintage, no signs of rust, the coils have been protected by this odd coating. Wish I had some practical way of testing these out other than hooking up to a multimeter, which doesnt say much since its an inductor.

Welcome to the forum. Normally I'd be able to tell you what parts are worth but I can't recall any Mosrite Bass pickups selling on eBay since September off the top of my head. I'm sure someone will be able to tell you more though.

Thnx!, yeah ive been having trouble finding any resources for these things so its hard to know what reasonable price to charge for them. They have no plans for future use so I would like to see these go to a good home. After seeing a youtube demo of the bass they sound amazing.

Welcome phonografic. An auction would probably best determine the pickups' market value; see what happens when 2 or more bidders are prepared to 'fight' over it...

Re: Hello, new guy
Welcome to the forum. I haven't seen a lot of bass pickups on eBay but once in a while they are on there and they do sell. If they are smooth cover, then it's a Celebrity-III bass. If my memory is correct they'll usually fetch about $100 each. If there are four screws visible then it's either a Celebrity-I or Celebrity-II bass and they get a bit more. My suggestion would be to list them separately and not as a pair. You'll get more in the long run. What other parts do you have? Is the body or neck still intact? There should be a serial number if so, I'd be interested just to add it to my registry.

Re: Hello, new guy
yeah I had a feeling they would be around that price, I really don't want to put these on ebay. They love to nickle and dime you, would like to have a clean transaction. Anyway the parts I have are definitely for the Celebrity III bass, confirmed by my Father. I wish I did have the neck and body I would have tried to restore it, but my brother messed up and left them behind at our old house. I have the Tail piece, 2 pickups with the outer cover and the bracket in the back of them, 2 Tuning heads, the pick guard, volume/tone assembly, and the nut. Any price suggestion on any of these will be highly appreciated.
