I'm glad that you came to a reasonable conclusion with your tech. The next question is what kind of vibrato you have - does it say "Vibramute" or "Moseley" on the plate? The arms attach differently. The Vibramute arm has a threaded post in the arm and a nut holds it from underneath. The Moseley arm has a threaded hole and a screw holds it in place from underneath. From what you describe, I think you've got a Moseley. If so, the Hallmark arm is a direct replacement. A Vibramute arm you'd probably have to get from Artie. You can fit a Moseley arm to a Vibramute but you have to ream the hole in the rocker. Not a big deal, but a permanent modification. If you've got a Vibramute and can't find an arm, get both the rocker and arm from Hallmark.

welcome to the forum. are you sure this couldn't be fixed by finding a replacement screw? the arm on one of my mosrites would come loose just like you described and took the screw out and painted a little locktite on the screw thread and problem solved. if you do have to get a new arm hallmark has parts at a reasonable price, and is a dead on match to the real ones. good luck.
