Veenture wrote:Hey Jeff, first of all, welcome to the Forum and thanks for sharing your story. I do not think that we've come across your double neck here, but I'm sure everyone will keep a vigilant eye open for it. If it doesn't ever get back to you you might want to have a Mosrite (double- or single neck) in the future some day perhaps?
Interesting band you have, I took a listen to some cool sounds! [edit: and took a second helping of "Chicken Salad Poptart", heh -reminded me of "The Average White Band" stuff]. Do enjoy the forum ;)

Thanks Paul,

"Chicken Salad Poptart" is some of my best work, I think. Certainly fun. But I was wondering how you ended up there.

Think there is much chance of finding a Mo 12 string, and what would I have to pay, I saw one Mo double neck for sale, almost $9000, which is way too steep for me.

Take care,

Jeff

I join the others in saying how bad I feel for your loss ... nothing quite like getting ripped off to deflate you. But, on a brighter note, welcome to the forum, and hope you land a Mosrite!

This would be a great for Hallmark to make a Doubleneck. What do you think Bob? Welcome to the forum.

You should be able to find an original doubleneck for anywhere from $2500 to $4500 depending how lucky you get. I have one in the same color you're talking about, but it belonged to the guitarist Davie Allan, and has its own strange story. There's a post about it someplace, with a picture.

Anyway, there are single neck 12s around. I believe there's still one at retrofret.com -- I have no idea what a fair price is these days, but if you call them about that one, tell em the guy with the doubleneck sent you. They're good people. Oh they also have a Baldwin/Burns Double Six which is (in all fairness to Semie's wonderful creation) probably the best sounding and easiest to play electric 12 on this earth. I think. Good luck!
