Jim,
Where abouts in Northern California are you? In the vicinity of the bay area by chance? You can put your location in your profile - there are other members in the nor Cal area.

Re: New guy in town--hello!
Mel, I am from the San Francisco bay area, but am now residing in Green Bay,WI.
But my heart is still in-----naaaah I won't say that
.
I was born in Fairfield, and grew up in Pacifica and Marin County in the 60's. My family moved up to Sonoma County in 1969. Loved that move! High school in Sebastopol in the early 70's--those were some great times.
I moved to Wisconsin in 1999 and really like it here. Great camping and fishing. The live music scene is really thriving. The local Oneida Casino hosts a killer rockabilly festival every few years. They also have a fantastic free music venue with various rockabilly and roots acts every week. Last week featured Robert Gordon and Chris Spedding (nice!). Deke Dickerson (spelling?) also makes a regular stop. And the local club scene is really thriving too, one of the main reasons I relocated here, not to mention a certain midwestern girl......

Re: New guy in town--hello!
hey amazing records,
coincidence...I have moved to Wi from NYC,,,actually April marks my 7th year out here, in western Racine between Milwaukee and Chicago...
Actually if you know your guitar stores/dealers...the owner of Music Center used to deal Mosrites...he used to display them in the store, but they are down this year for some reason, they said he is just showing other stuff...whatever...nothing like what I have seen from him, early 6 string V models in white and blue, and also a maphis double neck in blue...but again they are off the walls now for some reason.
I have to look for your store, the family here house a summer house up on the chain in Waupaca, which makes Appleton and GreenBay an easy day trip in the summer time!
Hope to hear back from you, feel free to PM I have gone vinyl crazy the past 12months...did you hear about Atomic Records closing in Milwaukee???
